Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

Evince 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 in lucid doesn't show .cbt files , showing only a
message "Error loading document: File type Tar archive
(application/x-tar) is not supported" when a cbt file is opened. Since
evince is used for thumbnailing cbt files, this means that they do not
get a thumbnail either.

This seems to be a Ubuntu-specific problem, as the problem disappeared
when I compiled and installed evince-2.30.0 from source.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select some pictures.
2. compress them to a tar file
3. replace the .tar extension with .cbt

Expected result: The cbt file gets the first picture in the archive as
thumbnail, and is openable in evince.

Actual result: Thumbnailing fails. Trying to open the file produces the
message "Error loading document: File type Tar archive
(application/x-tar) is not supported" in evince.

Workaround: compile evince-2.30.0 and use instead of 2.30.0-0ubuntu1
