Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
Run a gnome session over XDMCP remote desktop. Leave session for 5 minutes. gnome-screensaver kicks in. On client there is no evidence that gnome-screensaver is running - the previous desktop is displayed, and there is no screensaver. There is no way to kill the screensaver apart from logging in to the XDMCP server and actually doing `killall gnome-screensaver`. Confirmed with latest gnome on amd64 lucid. ** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-screensaver fails in XDMCP session https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/593318 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
