I can confirm that on Lucid that changing the password in System|Administration|Users and Groups fails to change the password for the gnome-keyring, which causes all kinds of request of administrator passwords, which will fail if you don't know that it's supposed to the the *old* password. Also, there is no documentation on how to change the gnome-keyring password, which means users are left with a broken system.
