Upgrading (online inplace, online with CD, off-line with CD) distribution from 9.10 to 10.04 result in system becoming unresponsive and unusable.
Several bug reports have been filed (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/600761) but there has been no response/reply regarding them.
