Hi, a last add-on when this bug occurs i have always also a window with gnome-terminal open an a firefox (a-browser) too. The latter (very crappy ) one often suffers in execution of hidden scripts that I suspect may be related with this behavior. when overhelming usage (cpu or memory, see later) issue occurs disk remain always furiously spinning. In the last event cpu-usage was low but memory usage veri high more than 90% (as "top" states). Again, kind regards D.
