Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
I'm not entirely certain this is a valid bug report or a feature request. I'm trying to replicate issues I find in Lucid in Maverick. To that end, I attempted to restore an evolution backup file created in Lucid on a Maverick installation. The restoration completed and mails seem to be fully restored, yet the contacts, calendar entries, tasks and memos are not restored. Well, the files are unpacked and exist, but it seems the new version of evolution does not expect them there. Is this expected behavior? Must I restore to the same version and then upgrade the entire distribution to migrate my evolution data? I'd find that extremely inconvenient. But maybe I'm missing something else.
