Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gimp
Gimp has a feature that let's you tear off menus that appear when you are right-clicking on the canvas. This is described here: http://docs.gimp.org/2.6/en/menus.html#tear-off-menus For Ubuntu 10.04 items under a tearoff menu will not be activated. Items in the sub-menu of a tear off menu will however be activated. In previous versions (of Ubuntu) this worked well. Current workaround is simply to use item from the ordinary menu from the top. But this is loss of a documented functionality and also making it a bit more cumbersome to work with the Gimp. Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Release: 10.04 Package: Gimp 2.6.8-2ubuntu1.1 The same problem in both 64-bit and 32-bit Ubuntu distributions. Also tested to build the Gimp 2.6.10 version from source, this did not work either. --- Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100429) Package: gimp 2.6.8-2ubuntu1.1 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-24.38-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 Tags: lucid Uname: Linux 2.6.32-24-generic i686 UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare ** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-collected gimp tearoffmenu -- menu items cannot be activated on tearoff menus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/619432 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
