Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
After a period of inactivity evolution will try to ping the imap server before preforming any action, many imap servers don't support this and evolution hangs until the connection times out, and then preforms the decried action. This make Evolution very slow to work with. A work around is to cancel the ping but this dosn't always work and can quickly turn in to a full time job. I am currently on a fully updated Lucid. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ping imap locks up evolution for ~30 sec https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/637568 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
