Public bug reported:

I'm using dist-upgraded Hoary.  If I create a dial-up connection through
network-admin, it can't be activated (/var/log/messages shows nothing).  Nothing
is created in /etc/ppp/ (at least nothing that I see), and some fields are not
even saved (phone number, call type [tone/pulse]).

$ network-admin --version
Gnome network-admin 1.1.90

Also, modem-applet doesn't work, but that's probably related to
gnome-system-tools backends not working correctly.

I don't have too much time right now to look into it.
