Public bug reported: I'm using dist-upgraded Hoary. If I create a dial-up connection through network-admin, it can't be activated (/var/log/messages shows nothing). Nothing is created in /etc/ppp/ (at least nothing that I see), and some fields are not even saved (phone number, call type [tone/pulse]).
$ network-admin --version Gnome network-admin 1.1.90 Also, modem-applet doesn't work, but that's probably related to gnome-system-tools backends not working correctly. I don't have too much time right now to look into it. ** Affects: gst (upstream) Importance: Unknown Status: Unconfirmed ** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Assignee: Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Confirmed -- [network-admin] and modem-applet don't work for setting up dial-up https://launchpad.net/bugs/12507 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
