Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

In Lucid, if the RB window is closed it would remain running in the
background. This seems to have changed in Meerkat, sometimes it does,
sometimes it does not, depending on if any music is playing, I think.

This, frankly, sucks. There is a lot of state in the RB UI that does not
get persisted across restarts - search box contents, current selections
in the browser, the show/hide state of the Context plugin's pane. All of
this is lost when RB exits.

Also, startup is non-instantaenous. With a reaonably large library, I'm
waiting 5-10s for RB to become usable after it starts. After which I
need to reset the UI to how I prefer it, find what I wanted to listen to
next, again, and then I can start playing.

If I want to quit the app, I'll do Ctrl-Q. Keep your hands off my
application's lifecycle otherwise, please. It's very frustrating to have
it exit at what seems like at random.
