Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

The icon management in gnome-panel has never been perfect but today it's
really bad. Icons show up in several places so you really don't know
which one to click on. I guess a Maverick fix is out of the question but
I thought I'd report it anyway. Screenshot is attached.

Using Maverick, latest updates. Open source Radeon driver. Gnome-panel
1:2.30.2.
