OK, this is bizarre. On my system the Google choices are there now too... In fact, a few choices have suddenly appeared which definitely weren't there previously.
New Address Book previously had just: On This Computer On LDAP Servers And now it has: On This Computer On LDAP Servers WebDAV Google CouchDB And New Calendar previously had just: On This Computer On The Web And now it has: On This Computer On The Web Weather Google CalDAV So it's not just Google which had been missing. I have no idea why the choices suddenly reappeared, but possibly it had to do with the fact that I had not rebooted after installing all the latest updates (the Update Manager did not say I had to). Maybe some update only kicked in after the reboot. So there's definitely something going on, although apparently it's fixed after installing all updates and rebooting.
