Once the translation suggestion has been accepted in Maverick, it will
be automatically propagated to Lucid and all other releases where this
string exists.

That's thanks to the message sharing functionality of Launchpad
Translations, where you translate a string in a series and it is
instantly translated in all other shared series automatically.

The translation will be shipped in Lucid in the next round of language
packs.

Yes, once the German team has reviewed, it should also be corrected
upstream. It might just be a matter of contacting the GNOME translation
team and pointing them to the string and the correction.
