Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
STEPS 1. install Ubuntu on a slate tablet (no physical keyboard) 2. after installation, go get tea 3. observe that Ubuntu has locked the screen with a password 4. go track down a USB keyboard This is a bug because the password dialog does not honor the usage of onboard (or seemingly any other on-screen keyboard) in the same way that gdm does. When I logged in to Ubuntu, I had the option of popping up an onscreen keyboard, and was able subsequently enable it for my normal X session via System > Preferences > Accessability.
