Hi. Just double checking that this request is relevant and non-bot generated. Clearly there is some sort of 'bug' in the way that the OS is handling my specific faulty hardware - previous versions of ubuntu and windows boot normally even if the webcam hasn't initialised properly - but whether the gnome-power-manager is responsible for this, I could not say.
