I did notice occasionaly that the interface (compiz effects etc.) were somewhat slower, which I don't think is normal on this class of hardware. It improved somewhat after upgrading to the latest nVidia driver, but it's still not as good as 10.04.
There may well be an underlying cause. Meerkat came with new versions of X and Gnome.
