I haven't seen this bug before opening another one about this issue. Maybe you could collect more info from Rhythmbox log while transferring tracks to iPod. A simple copy and paste from terminal is here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/668336/comments/2
