Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero
I wanted to create a (large) DVD off of a network drive. I was making multiple copies, so I explicitly intended to create an ISO file before burning it. After I started it, I see the message "Copying files to local (something)". Looking on my machine, I see that it is trying to copy all 4GB of data into /tmp. Besides the fact that this would completely fill /tmp and fail, it is totally needless. Creating an ISO image is not time sensitive. It does not matter if the network is temporarily slow. In fact, the double copying will almost certainly slow down the whole process. Once again, back to K3B. Running Ubuntu 10.10. Brasero version 2.32.0-0ubuntu2. ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Needlessly copies all files to /tmp before creating an ISO image https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/669490 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
