Feedback with Maverick: The problem is diminished but still present. On my not-all-that-fast wireless network at home, I can get 2.1-2.3 mb/s to a NAS machine over ftp but only 1.6 mb/s via smb. The destination is not the problem because the speed ramps up with a faster network.
Sure, it's better than the < 1mb/s that I was getting at the time of this report, but protocol shouldn't incur such an overhead, surely? -- gvfs to smb location is horribly slow https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554204 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
