I just tried this in Lucid with all the updates and it doesn't work. I have selected "adding eurosign to certain keys" with the number 5 selected as the key. I also have the compose key set to right win. I have tried in gedit after making the change "right alt + 5", "left alt 5", "ctl 5" , "right win 5", etc. Nothing works. The keyboard layaout I am using is USA. Keyboard model is "Generic 105-key Intl PC". I have also tried "enabling extra typographic characters" option, but that doesn't work for me either.
Is it necessary to reboot to get these to work?
