You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
If I suspend my laptop (i.e. close lid), unplug it, and then open it back up again, the gnome-power-manager fails to notice that it's now unplugged. Plugging it back in, gnome-power-manager first shows a notice that the system is unplugged, then plugged in (correctly). This is on Ubuntu 10.04 and gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 I've attached the output of running for i in /sys/class/power_supply/*/*; do echo $i; cat $i; done after resume (unplugged... applet nevertheless shows status as being plugged in): /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/alarm 0 /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_full 2213000 /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_full_design 4400000 /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_now 1500000 /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/current_now -1000 /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/device /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/manufacturer Clevo CO. /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/model_name M740TX /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/power /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/present 1 /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/serial_number /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/status Discharging /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/subsystem /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/technology Li-ion /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/type Battery /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/uevent POWER_SUPPLY_NAME=BAT0 POWER_SUPPLY_TYPE=Battery POWER_SUPPLY_STATUS=Discharging POWER_SUPPLY_PRESENT=1 POWER_SUPPLY_TECHNOLOGY=Li-ion POWER_SUPPLY_VOLTAGE_MIN_DESIGN=11100000 POWER_SUPPLY_VOLTAGE_NOW=14800000 POWER_SUPPLY_CURRENT_NOW=-1000 POWER_SUPPLY_CHARGE_FULL_DESIGN=4400000 POWER_SUPPLY_CHARGE_FULL=2213000 POWER_SUPPLY_CHARGE_NOW=1500000 POWER_SUPPLY_MODEL_NAME=M740TX POWER_SUPPLY_MANUFACTURER=Clevo CO.
