Binary package hint: nautilus
Nautilus should display the embedded preview image of Blender files as
their thumbnails, just as the same is done for regular image files.
Blender is already capable of saving a preview image in the file, so it
should not be difficult to check for it, read, and display it same as
any other thumbnail.
