*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 66929 *** I'm not entirely convinced that this is a duplicate of bug 66929. That bug occurs because console-setup puts X's tty into Unicode when X was expecting it to be in raw mode; the symptoms of that do involve key repeat, but it's generally not on the symbol you thought you pressed.
