Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

Taking a screenshot of the current window with delay set to 0 seconds
(default setting) doesn't work: no screenshot appears on the desktop.
Running gnome-screenshot --interactive from a terminal reveils the
following error:

$ LANG=c gnome-screenshot --interactive

(process:3530): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.
The program 'gnome-screenshot' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 3457 error_code 3 request_code 15 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Adding the --sync option seems to solve the problem but a part a the
gnome-screenshot window is still in the screenshot if it overlaps the
current window. So perhaps 0 should mean the minimal delay to only get
the current window.
