I've done some testing against the mainline kernel 2.6.37-999-generic #201101121009 SMP Wed Jan 12 10:10:37 UTC 2011 x86_64 (logs attached) and the problem seems to be partially fixed. The power statistics graph for both charging and discharging processes seems to be ok with the newest kernel so I don't get "low battery" warnings all the time (while running kernel version 2.6.35 the battery status was marked as very low right after disconnecting form AC adapter). What is still missing are the battery charge and discharge time estimations. They both are marked as 0 minutes which is weird because power-manager receives proper percentage statistics... I think there might be a problem with proper detection of battery specs. - it is reported as "non-rechargeable" in /proc/acpi/battery/BAT_0/state
