Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I have some low quality demo mp3s which rhythmbox cannot play. All I hear is low level noise/static. file lists them as Audio file with ID3 version 2.3.0, contains: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v2, 96 kbps, 22.05 kHz, JntStereo ffplay gives Duration: 00:03:42.95, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 96 kb/s Stream #0.0: Audio: mp3, 22050 Hz, 2 channels, s16, 96 kb/s 30.02 A-V: 0.000 s:0.0 aq= 320KB vq= 0KB sq= 0B f=0/0 They play correctly in totem hence rhythmbox package not gstreamer.
