I opened nautilus, use the location bar (ctrl-L) and type in smb://[EMAIL PROTECTED] Then I am prompted for a password. I type in the password and check the box to save the password in the gnome-keyring. Everytime I go to smb://[EMAIL PROTECTED] after that I am prompted for a password. If I open the keyring manager there is no entry for any smb URL, however all of the sftp URLs I have are there and work fine.
