Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu Natty (development branch) Release: 11.04 $ apt-cache policy nautilus nautilus: Installed: 1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13 Candidate: 1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13 Version table: *** 1:2.32.2.1-0ubuntu13 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status When I open nautilus, it takes CPU usage to 100% and freezes the UI for 5-10 seconds. Everything I do in it (open a folder, expand a folder in the tree view, etc.) does the same thing. Sometimes unity-panel-service also goes to 100% CPU together with nautilus (I use a dual-core computer). Nautilus is practically unusable because of this. I tried apt-get --reinstall install nautilus and purging all of its configuration files, but that did not solve it. Thanks for any help!
