Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Changed default keyboard layout to Dvorak. I try to make this system wide by pressing 'Apply System-Wide' The authentication dialog comes up but after entering password (tried multiple times) nothing happens. The button freezes up for a few seconds as if something is happening then returns to normal. Layout on login screen is still Qwerty ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:2.32.1-0ubuntu15 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-9.43-generic-pae 2.6.38.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-9-generic-pae i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Sun May 8 18:00:37 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-control-center UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-03-15 (53 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 natty unity-2d -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/779573 Title: cannot make keyboard layout global/system-wide -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
