Honestly, how is this bug classified as "Won't Fix?" Facebook is one of the most utilized protocols regardless of which client someone uses. The whole point of using an IM client such as empathy, pidgin, or digsby is to combine multiple protocols into one EASY TO USE interface.
If the empathy developers really don't have the time or want to put in the effort to fix an issue associated with one of their biggest protocols that is fine, but they should also expect to lose users in the process. Again, the reason most users want to use empathy, or clients like empathy, is to group contacts from multiple sources into a single, easy to use interface. I hope that this is fixed soon, or I will be turning to a different client that fixes issues like this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/610131 Title: Facebook contacts cannot be added to groups -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
