Public bug reported:
I have a JetFlash 620 8Gb Transcend drive. Whenever i insert it, the cpu load gets very high. This problem persists in 10.10 and 11.04, but it does not affect 10.04. udiscs --monitor gives the following added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sde changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 added: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 job-changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 job-changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdd1 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0 ..etc where sdd is the user data partition, sr0 is a non-writeable partition holding the security software. Workaround: "sudo stop udev" lowers the CPU load. Seems to work fine after that, but surely not an elegant move .
