Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: metacity

I am currently using Dapper and see this issue fairly often, but I think
it still exists in Edgy as well.

When maximizing a window using the Metacity window manager and a theme
with rounder corners such as the default Human Metacity theme, the top
corners are not always drawn properly - they should become square, but
sometimes they simply remain rounded.

This problem seems to occur most often when the window is already close
to the size of the display - so maximizing the window doesn't change its
shape by much. It can also occur when initially starting an
application.

A workaround is to unmaximize the window, resize it to be small compared
to the size of the screen, and then remaximize the window.

I will attach screenshots to illustrate.

** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu)
