Bad luck. Even with lp, ppdev, parport, parport_pc loaded and cupsys
restarted, gnome-cups-add won't detect anything at all. Some kernel
output:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dmesg | tail
[drm] Setting GART location based on new memory map
[drm] Loading R300 Microcode
[drm] writeback test succeeded in 1 usecs
pnp: Device 00:0a disabled.
pnp: Device 00:0a activated.
parport: PnPBIOS parport detected.
parport0: PC-style at 0x378 (0x778), irq 7, dma 3
[PCSPP,TRISTATE,COMPAT,ECP,DMA]
parport0: Legacy device
lp0: using parport0 (interrupt-driven).
ppdev: user-space parallel port driver
