Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem
Totem and Rhythmbox are gnome's default movie and music player, so one would think that their interface should follow similar guidelines, in order not to confuse the user. When playing, Rhythmbox's play button stays pressed. Totem's, on the other hand, turns into a pause button. http://img476.imageshack.us/img476/4231/stownrk3.png http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/8800/pantallazoheroess01e01hah4.png For coherence's sake, one of both methods should be chosen as better and applied to both apps. I'd go for RB's, and make Totem's play button look like this when playing: http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/1135/pantallazoheroess01e01hyy5.png But that's just my personal opinion, of course. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Affects: rhythmbox (Baltix) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Also affects: rhythmbox (Baltix) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Also affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Lack of totem-rhythmbox coherence https://launchpad.net/bugs/74390 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
