I was filing a bug report for this when I saw this "duplicate." This
issue still exists in the stable Oneiric release (17 Oct 2011). I'm
attaching a screenshot that shows how I've removed bookmarks for Music,
Pictures, Videos, etc but they are still showing up in the Nautilus
Sidepane.

I hope this bug is addressed because all these default bookmarks take up
the majority of space on the Sidepane. For users that don't use these
default bookmarks, it would really be nice to be able to remove them so
space can be created for bookmarks of the user's choosing.
