Yes, Kate Stewart's suggestion at comment #8:

 "type: gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.mouse active
false"

was really helpfull. I was sure it had something to do with my settings,
since other accounts were fine, but I could not find the correct
"switch". This solves this bug for me! Yay!
