I have rebooted the server a couple of times and now it is working. sorry for the trouble. Is it possible to not need to reboot to get samba to run correctly? it doesn't seem to work on first boot and samba restart doesn't work. The second or third boot up it works. Do you know why? I think i read about this as a bug in samba? or is it a boot order? I don't really understand why it would need a second boot to work. Thanks, rickrack
