I had seen messages in the .xesssion-errors file that Evolution was having problems connecting to network manager.Since I have restarted X, I don't have the old .xsession-errors file to give the exact message. At this point, it looks like the issue is NOT related to Network Manager.
I have also tried the following, none of which has worked: - Moved out my old .evolution folder and let it rebuild a new one - deleted out my account, and re-added it - Confirmed all the settings. This configuration worked as expected under Edgy and Dapper. Inbound mail is coming from a Cyrus IMAP server. Outbound mail is going to a Postfix server. The only thing that helps is fully exiting Evolution (evolution --force- shutdown) , and restarting. Once that is done, outbound mail works fine... for a while. ** Summary changed: - [feisty] Evolution inconsistant at sending SMTP mail w/o Network Manager installed + [feisty] Evolution stops sending SMTP mail -- [feisty] Evolution stops sending SMTP mail https://launchpad.net/bugs/76873 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
