Quick update. So there is no ./config/menus directory. I did try deleting the ./config directory which is some other advice I found. I also tried setting various environment variables.
I did get the nautilus global menu working once more. Still no right- click menu on the file icons, but right-clicking on the space inbetween gave a small menu. Clicking on preferences in the Edit global menu caused nautilus to close and I haven't had menus since. I can't find how to get them back again. Grrr.... Oh and gedit didn't have menus, even when nautilus did. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/945097 Title: Lack of global menu and right-click menu with Nautilus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/945097/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
