I have been trying to create contact lists on Evolution Mail. I creat the list, all looks good, try to send an email and I get a message that there is a problem with an address, re-open the list and it's changed some of them to whing dings or symbols! Anyone help with this problem? I now have the same problem. Creating a new contacts list ends up with gibberish entries, e.g. fred.b...@somewhere.com becomes a sequence of 6 or 7 non-printable and non-ascii characters. This _always_ happens when the address is added by 1. typing in the box below "Type and e-mail address ..." and selecting the matching name from the address book, or 2. drag-n-drop and existing contact into the contacts list area of the window It does _not_ happen when 3. the address typed into the box below "Type and e-mail address ..." does _not_ match an existing contact, or 4. when the address is selected using the [Select..] button and the resulting Show Contacts pop-up and selector My Evolution version is 3.2.2 ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/971898 Title: Evolution contact lists broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/971898/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
