The screen brightness-change hotkeys on my laptop's keyboard don't work
properly on Ubuntu. Although the system registers input from these
hotkeys, and the brightness scale changes, this had no effect whatsoever
on my screen's brightness. I suspect it could be a graphics driver
incompatibility problem.
