I see this problem with a regular internal CD drive. Insert Audio CD -> Rhythmbox does show it for a few seconds, then it disappears from Rhythmbox. Readding by opening it results in the same behavior -> CD displayed in Rhythmbox for a few seconds then disappears. This way I cannot copy the music to my PC!
