Please, oh Ubuntu gods, allow the Global application menu to always be visible!
There's nothing worse than having to move your mouse around to discover what might be or might not be there. It takes all the snappiness out of the interface. This fading menu is a terrible idea! It means I have to continuosly hover my mouse over the top bar to see what the options are. How is this good? Even when I can remember what the menu options are, I still have to first move my mouse to the top and then move accross to the exact location of the menu item. It really slows my workflow down. Please fix it! The Unity interface is so nearly great!. it just has a few massive usability issues that stop it from being great. Like this one and also the fact that a large number of applications don't appear on the Alt-Tab menu even when they are running. Who is making these UI decisions? developers? Why do you think apple don't have fading menus? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/682788 Title: Improve Unity menus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/682788/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
