Issue still present on 12.04.
"Same thing. I select 1234 or enter it manually. I verify that the dialog has 
it by going back in. Instead of using 1234 it displays a random 6 digit pin."

I am unable to pair with any of two GPS units due to this behaviour.
It's 100% repeateble.
