In addition, the ubuntu 12.04 installation iso (i386 or amd64) can't shutdown either:
I put the iso in a flash drive: boot by grub4dos, fat32 fs, with casper- rw to save changes. I've used these flash drives (one for i386, one for amd64) to install many laptops (more than 10), but I can never shutdown after finishing installation. (So I always have to repair the casper-rw file system afterward.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-session in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/987220 Title: System does not power off reliably when "Shut Down" chosen from GUI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-session/+bug/987220/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
