  [Impact]
- The user will not be able to use a resolution that's shown in the drop-down 
box in gnome-control-center.

  [Test Case]
  If you are hit by this bug, you will not be able to select the preferred mode 
if it is not a common resolution of the laptop screen and external monitor.
  
  With the fix, the incorrect resolution will not be shown.
  
  [Regression Potential]
  The patch has been accepted by upstream, how it works is to skip adding the 
preferred mode in mirror mode, so should not have regression.

  Connect HDMI or D-sub to external monitor, and it works fine when switching to
  mirror mode in 1024x768, but does not work for mirror mode in 1366x768. Please
  see the attached screenshot.
