I can confirm it in Ubuntu 12.04 (up-to-date): apt-cache policy empathy empathy: Installed: 3.4.2.3-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.4.2.3-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.4.2.3-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.4.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages
When I highlight text from a past message (either sent or received) Ctrl+C is not working. The bug is reproducible in all themes. Both Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V combinations are working in the edit area. Right-click an selecting Copy does work, but it's a painful process. Empathy is great, but I find this issue very annoying and a major usability problem. Please fix it.
