Public bug reported: Just ran latest raring updates. Screen on full brightness, Fn keys didn't move the slider. Going to the Brightness settings I can move the slider but it has no effect.
Setting it manually still works: echo 978 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: gnome-settings-daemon 3.6.4-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-1.5-generic 3.8.0-rc4 Uname: Linux 3.8.0-1-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.8-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Jan 25 17:22:04 2013 InstallationDate: Installed on 2011-10-08 (475 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Beta amd64 (20111006) MarkForUpload: True SourcePackage: gnome-settings-daemon UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug raring -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1105604 Title: Brightness control stopped working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1105604/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
