I have a NAS with 33.000 files.
MyBookLive:/DataVolume/shares/data# find documents/ Bilder/ | wc -l
33941
I have this mounted via gvfs and sftp. Now looking into the properties
it wraps and wraps and never finishes stating the total file size.
For a better explanation have a look at attached video.
