Public bug reported: OS: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: Evolution 3.6.4-0ubuntu1 Account: gmail imap
What happened: i added my gmail account using evolution's wizard (which works very well, by the way). When i tried to send an email, however, i got an error message saying that the message can't be sent because there is no authentication available. After a quick check in the account details I realized that the wizard does not check the "require passowrd" for outbound emails, which results in gmail refusing to send the message. Selecting the checkbox fixed the bug. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1184419 Title: Gmail default configuration does not require a password to send emails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1184419/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
